My Bookkeeping Journey with Bottomline Capital

We have all experienced those significant moments in life. One such moment for me occurred early in my career when I was working as an industry accounting professional during the day and studying accounting at night. Following a lengthy 3-hour Intermediate Accounting lecture, my professor - who also owned a well-known local CPA firm - approached me about a job opportunity at his company.

At that time, I had just been selected for the prestigious Leadership Development Program (LDP) at my current company. This program was tailored for high-potential team members, involving rotations through various job functions and sponsorship for attending a top business school of our choice. While I had a passion for accounting and excelled in it, I recognized that the LDP could open up excellent prospects for me. The LDP opportunity was outstanding and too good to refuse, yet I decided to save this classroom experience for future contemplation.

I pursued my education at Harvard Business School and, after graduating with an MBA, embarked on a leadership journey in small software and service enterprises. Over the years, I have had the privilege of leading exceptional teams, achieving substantial revenue growth, and implementing operational enhancements. My career has been rewarding, and I have no regrets about the choices I've made. However, the memory of that encounter with my accounting professor from years ago has lingered in my mind, prompting the recurring question, "If not now, when?"

I am truly enthusiastic about Bottomline Capital because it allows me to support the growth and success of small businesses at its core.
